Not too many people get to live the dream, which of course is different for everyone. However, I can say that I am one of the lucky ones... I have had the privilege of making a career out of what I love most, all the while being available to raise our amazing children along side the love of my life! Life is fantastic!!  

My father dabbled in photography and began to pass on his love for his hobby to me at a young age. I put the cameras down when he passed away just before my 14th birthday, but that only lasted three years, as it was time to follow through with what we both loved the most. I began taking photos again my senior year of high school, studied photography while earning my BS at Kansas State University (spent most of my time making photos come to life in the dark room; I can still smell the chemicals today!), and have had photography as part of my everyday life ever since (and I'm getting old!).

I proudly tell you that I am a Certified Professional Photographer! One of only NINE CPPs in the entire Kansas City area! In the words of PPA (Professional Photographers of America): “this is a significant achievement for those who pursue excellence in the photographic industry”. When you hire a CPP, you know you are getting someone who has gone above and beyond most others to learn all the rules of photography, who understands lighting, who knows posing, and your end result will be a fun, no-stress session with professional portraits you will cherish always!
